Like many of us, I have been adapting to living life online and for work, I have been attending various events and meetings through my computer, but now I have an exciting event for ME that I have put in the diary.

Launched in light of COVID-19 to better support the public’s wellbeing, this online festival will return for a second series between the 11th – 13th September 2020.
The Live Life Well Weekender 2.0 is the second virtual well-being festival being hosted to help support the public’s health and well-being in these extraordinary times featuring experts such as Dr Radha Modgil, Dr Dawn Harper, Mne’s health champion Anthony Astbury among many others.
This three-day virtual festival from the 11-13th September 2020, will see over 40 expert speakers, campaigners and professionals come together again, to discuss current concerns around mental health, loneliness, child development, self-care and to help provide better access to much needed advice and expertise to support people in these extraordinary times.
The Coronovirus (COVID-19) pandemic is the biggest health crisis for generations. It has had catastrophic impacts on our daily lives and research shows that it will continue to do so for years to come[1].
Research shows that at least half a million more people in the UK may experience mental ill health as a result of Covid-19, says first forecast from Centre for Mental Health[2]. More than two-thirds of adults in the UK (69%) report feeling somewhat or very worried about the effect COVID-19 is having on their life[3]. The most common issues affecting wellbeing are worry about the future (63%), feeling stressed or anxious (56%) and feeling bored (49%).
The Live Life Well Weekender will bring together experts and industry leaders, to provide a variety of talks, workshops and resources, that will offer support, spark discussions and provide the practical tools that people desperately need, to help protect their own, and their families wellbeing as we move out of lockdown and into our new norm.
The festival will explore a variety of topics from; ‘Long Covid’ and the long-term health impacts of the disease, ‘This Too Shall Pass: The Lessons Learnt from Lockdown and how we come to terms with our new norm’, ‘Workers Block: A look at how we can stay motivated and find our purpose in our work and career’, ‘Beating the Money Blocks: Managing your money and coping with stress’, ‘Self-Care for Tough Times’, ‘Relationship Dynamics in A Pressure Cooker: How to cope with the intense emotions and change’, ‘Why Therapy Isn’t Made for Men’ and ‘ The No Bullshit Guide to Finding Happy’ and much more.
There will also be a range of practical workshops on creativity, self-expression, dance, fitness and health, including; how to manage physical ‘Ware and Tear in Lockdown’, ‘Hormone Workouts’ to balance the body, ‘Eating for Health and to Reduce Stress’ to support you and your family emotionally and physically.
The line-up of speakers will be announced in full soon but we are thrilled to welcome back health and wellbeing campaigner Dr Radha Modgil, founder of the Wholeman Academy Anthony Astbury, Media Medic and GP Dr Dawn Harper, Happiness expert Steph Peltier, Parenting Mental health campaignerSuzanne Alderson, Daylsford’s PT and fitness trainer James Golden, self-care practitioner ‘Suzy Reading’ among many others to be announced.
The Live Life Well Weekender 2.0 will once again be a not-for-profit event and will be accessible to all with FREE tickets for all frontline and key workers, students, as well as those in need who are on low incomes or unemployed as a result of the pandemic.
A nominal fee of £12 per household for General Admission provides visitors with access to the whole three-days of content, of which all profits received will go charity to support the NHS CHARITIES NATIONAL COVID 19 APPEAL. All contributors are doing this event for FREE, so if you can afford to pay, please do contribute to the hard-working team behind this virtual event.
