What's on at Shropshire Kids Fest - 11th and 12th May 2019 #preview

We love finding new things to do and getting out to explore the Midlands region more; never more so than when  the weather gets warmer. And the weekend after next, we are excited to be heading off to Shropshire Kids Fest, on throughout Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May 2019, as there's a huge amount on for what promises to be a terrific day out for the whole family.

We've been invited along by the organisers and will be posting updates throughout our visit on my Instagram page, but for now, here is all you need to know about this fun family festival...

A World of Fun Awaits at Shropshire Kids Fest

Shropshire Kids Fest 2019 will be held on the 11th & 12th May at Shrewsbury Quarry

This is a festival designed for kids with one thing in mind – FUN!

Shropshire Festivals have jumped in to the imaginations of our youngsters and created something beyond their wildest dreams.  Kids Fest 2019 is set to be the most spectacular yet.

New to Kids Fest this year is the construction of a gigantic 400-foot obstacle course.  It is one of the biggest in the UK and will satisfy the most adventurous thrill seekers in the land!

Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park will play host to a battalion of inflatables with a helter skelter slide, giant games, zorbing, mini golf, bubble football, music tent, go karts, foam parties, water slides, arts, crafts, baking sessions, circus tent, nerf arena, disco dancing, and a seaside themed pirate and princess school.  Plus lots more to discover on the day.

Beth Heath, Shropshire Festival’s Creative Director, said, “I felt that there was a huge gap in the county’s event calendar for a children’s festival.  The success of the last three years is testament to the appetite for spectacular kids’ entertainment in the county.  We are very excited for the return of the fourth annual Shropshire Kids Fest.  The most awesome aspect of this festival is that once inside, ALL of the activities are absolutely free to take part in, meaning there is no limit to how much fun you can have.”

The whole family can enjoy a huge variety of mouth-watering food stalls.  When it all gets too much for the grown-ups there is the ‘Adult Creche’ offering a place for them to get away from the hustle and bustle of the festival, whilst raising money for the Harry Johnson Trust, which the festival supports.

Shropshire Kids Fest will be held on the 11th and 12th May at Shrewsbury Quarry Park.  There is already a huge demand for tickets.  Purchase your tickets now at: https://www.shropshirekidsfest.co.uk
