A family day out at Wasps Rugby club

A month ago, baby boy was due which was so exciting... and we also had an exciting invitation from the Wasps Rugby team so my rugby-mad sister-in-law stepped in and went to see what the hospitality team had to offer, on a action packed Saturday. Her whole family are BIG Wasps fans so they were hoping for a great result... here's what they got up to...

We were lucky enough to be given tickets for the European clash between Wasps and Toulouse, exciting because we are both massive Wasps fans.  Upon arrival we were greeted by a member of the hospitality team who issued us with our tickets and a number of vouchers for food and drink.

We were then issued into the ‘Clubhouse’ – a warm, welcoming lounge normally reserved for season ticket holders.  The Clubhouse was comfortable and packed with excited fans, we were served quickly at the bar and got to enjoy our first free drink in comfort before heading up to our seats.

The Ricoh Arena is a large and impressive stadium with a fantastic atmosphere, it was impossible not to get swept away with the excitement and we enjoyed a fantastic game, with another drink and a hot dog from one of the many food outlets nearby, the queues for which moved quickly despite their popularity.  The food was hot and tasty, plus we got to enjoy a free hot chocolate, very welcome in the December cold.

Unfortunately, Wasps lost 42-27 in an exciting match, but that was the only disappointment in an otherwise thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Thank you very much for the hospitality Wasps, can’t wait for our next visit!
