Warm colours, comfy boots and snugly scarves are some of my favourite things about the season.
Being 32 weeks pregnant, I am trying to remain active but also conscious of not overdoing it too, and of being a bit steadier on my feet. This is all good news to our dog, Watson, as he isn't that fond of walking too far, or of wet weather, so a quick trot around the block and home again for cuddles does the trick.
With it being October, it was the perfect excuse to pick a new pair of boots to keep my feet toasty and comfortable too, and looking at the selection from Hotter, I was a bit spoilt for choice, as there were several styles that stood out to me and a great selection of colours too. I first discovered Hotter four years ago, and the purple shoe boots and fur topped ankle boots I walked away with back then are still going strong in my wardrobe.
In the end, this time around I chose the Melody luxury fur lined boots, in Chestnut (RRP £99). Calf height, featuring a fur trim at the top, buckle detail at the bottom and all the hidden comfort that Hotter is so well know for, I knew these boots would become my autumn staples.
The darker brown shade makes them really versatile, the leather helps them to be weather-proof, as opposed to suede options, and for someone like me who has wider feet that the norm (and bigger calves too!), these are a dream and fit like a glove.
I always go up a size in boots, to size 6, to help with thick socks or tights and to leave enough wriggle room, and these fit just so and have a really comfortable sole, and good grip too, so even on wet leaves, I have been able to walk Watson with confidence.
Sometimes one of our cats, Shelock, likes to join us! |
They come in black (leather) and gunmetal (suede) and I can't recommend them enough if you're looking for a sturdy boot that you can happily wear all autumn and winter long, come rain or shine, or whether you are walking the dog or pairing with a dress.
Definitely #HotterWalkies for me with these on my feet!
* I received these boots in return for an honest review - all opinions are my own.
