These boots were made for walking

One thing I particularly love about autumn is the chance to pull on a pair of boots. I am far more comfortable wearing them and it's really the only time I wear a heel now.

I have a pair of knee high boots that are still doing me proud a few years later. I also have a pair of mink ankle boots with fur trim that will come out of the wardrobe again soon and some bright purple shoe boots, both from Hotter, that I love and add a pop of colour to any outfit and look great with dresses and tights as well as jeans.

You can't beat a good pair of black ankle boots or a classic Chelsea boot style and I've picked up a couple of new pairs to see me through the months ahead. I absolutely love them - and together, I spent no more than £45.

First up, these low rise Chelsea boots in a velvet style finish and a punchy leopard print. I just fell in love when I saw them in Dorothy Perkins and even more so when I found that there was 20%, making them just £20.

They liven up even simple outfits and I think they'll work with skirts, dresses and jeans too.

Then there's this fab pair of brilliant pair of biker boots from George at Asda. These have a firm sole, they hug my ankle and have an edge without being full on biker chic. They come in both standard and wide fit which is great news for me and my hobbit feet, and they are just so comfortable and versatile. Only £25. Love these!

I am also wearing these black pumps with gold trim and chain detail, from Primark, £10, that are smart looking and great for work.

I also saw that Primark is selling Chelsea style ankle boots with a suede effect finish in a few different shades, such as navy and burgundy, so I may walk away with a pair of those soon too..
