With so much going on in and around the city, it can be difficult to
know where to start. This article gives you a helping hand in knowing where to
go and what to do in Birmingham. Whether you live in the city or just plan on
visiting for a few days, rediscover the new and exciting Birmingham.
With older
children
A great adventure to explore with family and children is The Birmingham
Mystery Treasure Trail. It’s suitable for ages 9 all the way up to 18, but
you’ll find yourself getting excited as an adult too! The best time to explore
is on a sunny day, as you follow a 1.5 mile route through Birmingham on a
complete, self-guided themed treasure trail.
You can get your investigative cap on while hunting for clues located on
permanent features in the city like buildings and statues to solve mysteries
and discover new parts of Birmingham. It takes about 2 hours to complete and is
a circular loop. If you get stuck or lost, it’s not a problem, there are free
mobile text services for clues.
With younger
children
This attraction is great for kids, as well as anyone who likes
chocolate- which is pretty much everyone! Cadbury World is a purple
planet full with chocolate rain, cream eggs to chase and your own cocoa trees
to grow. The self-guided tour has 15 different zones including an Aztec Jungle
and a Crunchie Rollercoaster.
Anyone with a sweet tooth will be severely satisfied and if you start to
feel full, you can work it off on the ropes, bridges and slides at the African
Adventure play area or relax for a breather in the Cadbury Café. With plenty in
store for a family day out and just one ticket price for all of the zones and
attractions, you won’t be disappointed.
For exploring
the countryside
Surrounding the city is beautiful countryside and stunning views. If you’re
into hiking, walking, sightseeing, mountains, lakes and stunning views, you
need to explore the surrounding areas. Base yourself at one of Allen’s Caravan
Parks, dotted around surrounding Worcestershire, drop off the bags and get your
walking shoes on.
The parks offer luxury caravans to put your feet up in after a long day
of exploring and are all nestled among the stunning scenery. With leisure complexes,
river fishing, games rooms and restaurants, your base will have everything you
need and the countryside is just on your doorstep. Visit
