It's always meant a lot to me, this day. When Ethan was just a bump, he sent me flowers and a teddy bear with a note to say that he couldn't wait to meet me (he's a clever one).
I remember being very over emotional on my first proper Mother's Day and last year, we spent it with my Mum too - we will be seeing her in a weekend or two instead this year.
I have no idea what today has in store other than the fact I will be spending it with my little man. And that's all that really matters.
I've been reflecting on how often Mother's Day can be an after thought when children are big and grown, hurriedly picking up flowers from the shop. Whereas little ones get much more involved, with nursery and school encouraging them to make homemade trinkets and cards and paper flowers. I have everything Ethan has made me and will always hold them dear, even when he's too cool to let me cuddle him in front of his friends.
So today, I wanted to send my best wishes to all the mums, mother figures and children celebrating today, whether together or apart, and also share the early moments of when I became a mum.
These photos were taken when Ethan was eight days old and they mean so much to me.
Amazing photos, they are so sweet. Have an amazing day
