Stila is one of those for me.
It's stocked in the big Boots in Birmingham and, I've also discovered, in M&S, but I've never swabbed any samples or known much more about the brand.
Until they had a pop up in Selfridges and I headed down on my lunch break to find out more.
I let Sascha, who's head artist for Stila and oh so friendly, try out a few new products she recommended and I was actually really impressed.
First of all, the One Step Colour Correct (£24). It's a three in one base that has three swirls of cream inside that combine in one pump to help even tone, redness and enhance radiance. One quick step but a really nice finish and a good base for foundation.
Ah, the foundation. Stila has just introduced the Perfectly Poreless Putty Perfector (£28 and in 5 shades) cream foundation that is super light, easy to blend with a brush (Sasha used the Wonder Brush (£42) and it did do wonders) and looking in the mirror just 30 seconds later, I was actually taken aback. I've never been that convinced that paying more for high end make up brands always pays but this Stila foundation is beautiful.
It offers quite a high level of coverage but skin looks flawless and dewy. To look radiant when being the colour of a milk bottle is quite a tall order but this foundation did the trick for me. Love at first use. Can't wait to add this to my make up box when my current foundation runs out.

Next up, the new Convertible Colour (£16 and in 14 shades). It's a cream blush that can also be used on the lips. Sasha selected the Gerbera shade for me and it's a light pink/peach finish that easily dabs into the apples of your cheeks and actually has great staying power.
Then, I was shown how to apply the Stay All Day Brow Gel (£28 and in 5 shades), which comes with a paint brush to naturally brush on colour to thicken and shape your own brows. This was fascinating to watch and didn't look too complicated either and the end result was super natural. I will definitely be buying this very soon - it's the best finish I have seen for well shaped brows.
Finally, I was introduced to the Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick (£16 and in 20 shades). Sasha applied the Beso shade, which is quite possibly the perfect shade of red and I can confirm it does stay for a really, really long time.
I was suitably impressed by my Stila makeover, and the One Step, Convertible Colour and Beso Liquid Lipstick I was then kindly sent, that I quickly bought two more lipstick shades myself; a nude (Bellissima, see below) and a bright pink (Fiore).
Stila has some great products in its range that give a high quality finish and I'm really glad to have added some to my own make up collection.
My new make up crush - I have a feeling I'll be buying some more items very soon.
