My #LittleLoves - tea and beauty treats

I've had a few treats this month that I wanted to share with you - we all need a pick me up now and then, don't we?

I've heard a lot about teatox programmes on Instagram and from various bloggers and wanted to give one a go myself. I've fallen into some bad habits recently (I blame the darker nights for my addiction to carbs and to Asda putting Ben and Jerry's on offer) and I wanted to try and undo some of this with a detox.

In steps Tea Doctor! A teatox is exactly what it sounds like - drinking tea to detox and help flush out any toxins built up in your system, to help you feel good and possibly shed a little weight too.

I've been trying the 14 day teatox (RRP £19.99). It's a programme of 14 morning teas to enjoy daily and seven night time teas, to be taken every other day, my teatox is going well one week in. I really like the taste of both the tea types - the first has an aniseed flavour - and I've been impressed by the strength of flavour.

The day tea contains aniseed, fennel seed, cardamon pod, licorice root, coriander seed and celery seed, to wake you up and get your system going first thing, whilst the night tea contains oat flowering tops, licorice root, chamomile flower, lavender flower, lime flower, valerian root and green rama tuksi leaf. Now, I haven't heard of some of these ingredients but others I know are well used for healthy diet and to flush out toxins, so that's good enough for me and as the flavour is pleasant, it's been a really nice trial so far.

I haven't been as active as I could have been (my excuse is life is pretty busy at the mo), but I have been trying to cut out the junk as much as possible, following the Tea Doctor's advice, so you never know, I may see some weight loss by the end!

If you want to give a teatox a go yourself, I have something just for you... Tea Doctor has contacted me to offer my lovely readers 10% off - just enter the code 'TEADOCTOR' at the checkout.

During my spa break with my besties, I got to enjoy an Espa facial and keenly stocked up on my favourite facial cleanser / mask, which had just run out. It's Espa's Optimal Skin ProCleanser and it's amazing. It smells great, feels great and really works. Honest! It contains enzymes that nibble away at dead skin cells (nice!) and can be used daily or left on for longer once or twice a week for more of a deep treatment.

My face always feels soft and smooth immediately after use and I swear I have a little more glow to my cheeks too. Combined with their simply amazing Optimal Skin ProSerum (sadly, my small sample size has nearly finished, although it has last almost a year), and this is one skin routine I've been very happy to keep up.

I got the toner pictured above for free (win!) and the Mandarin Lip Balm is the best I have ever tried, with a real smoothing effect.

A couple of weeks ago, I popped along to the new and improved Benefit counter in Debenhams, Bullring, and was dazzled by all the delights on display. There's a tanning and treatment area now, plus plenty of space for the Brow Bar and make up trials too.

I've always loved Benefit and enjoyed a mini makeover to try out some of the newer products - purchasing the Fake Up hydrating under-eye concealer and adding a few other items to my Pinterest Christmas wish list at the same time.

It's a great place to go to have a browse or to treat your brows and I could happily visit every day to have my make up done by the Benefit Babes.

And finally, I popped to The Body Shop on New Street last week to see a make up demo by beauty blogger Kaushal. As well as taking a look at the new Christmas gift sets and products (the frosted plum body spray was rather nice and came in a magical bottle that sparkled when shaken), I tried a few of the Oils of Life products and a few other bits and pieces too. I tried their honey bronzer too and swiftly added this to my make up bag.

And if you fancy treating yourself, The Body Shop has a friends and family 40% off event NOW ON, which you can take advantage of with the voucher below before end Sunday 15th November:

So go on, treat yourself!
