The week that was #20

Wow, 20 weeks' worth of weekly round up posts! I have done well! I'm really enjoying it; it's a good way to document all the little things and it's fun looking back and seeing how things have changed through the seasons and all the things I've enjoyed, as Mum and as me, over the weeks.

So, what did the past week have in store?

DOING I've made a real effort this week to enjoy my family and not to let other worries and responsibilities get too much in the way.

I am going to be going back to work full time very soon, so I've realised that I really do need to make the most of every moment and every moment has to count. I have a few Wednesdays yet at home with Ethan and I'm trying to get out and about with him and make something special of these days. When it does become the time for full time work, I know I need to be a real plan into place on how to make sure the household keeps ticking along but without wasting a moment of us being together.

It's hard, juggling everything, no matter how many hours you have to work, but I'm hoping a family plan will keep us on track and that we can make the most of the time we have.

At the weekend, we spent lots of time with family, visiting my brother-in-law's new house, having a meal with my in-laws and also exploring Baddesley Clinton, pictured above. I'll be sharing more about our day out at this National Trust location in a post tomorrow, so stay tuned for plenty more pics!

BUYING All of Ethan's 18 month to two year sized clothes have gone now and this week, we've had to buy him some more t-shirts, shorts and socks too.

I have bought a few things at all the supermarkets - Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's - and have been really impressed by the selection for boys and the prices too.

I'm loving all the bold, bright colours and cute details, like on the green shorts from Tesco and the fun road sign shirt from Sainsbury's, pictured here.

How cute is this VW camper van t-shirt? It's my dream car and this is once cool top.

And how cool does my little dude look in his new sunglasses?

TESTING I've been on the search for the perfect red lip. My sister-in-law gets married in less than three weeks and I am one of her bridesmaids. There's a 50's feel to our dresses and hair so I'm practising my make up techniques and trying out many a red lippie to find the perfect look for the day.

This one, Ruby Tuesday by Max Factor, is a favourite at the moment, although Provocalips by Rimmel in Kiss Me You Fool is also still in the running as it's lovely and bold and did not budge for a long, long time.

Oh, I do love my lippie.

Sticking with beauty, I'm also loving these travel size body washes from Weleda. I'm a big fan of Weleda and their emphasis on natural ingredients and remedies and Skin Food and the Calendula body products have been firm favourites I have used time and time again for a while now.

These eco-cleansers are really convenient for when you're going away to visit friends or for a holiday (oh how I would love a holiday some time soon!) and there's a fragrance and solution to suit everyone, particularly as they are so kind to your skin. I particularly like the zestyness of the Citrus body wash and the creaminess of the Wild Rose.

HOPEFUL I am starting phototherapy tomorrow for my psoriasis, three days a week for up to 10 weeks. It'll be my second course of this kind of treatment, having gone through 29 sessions around this time last year with great results.

Strangely, my arms have started to clear up considerably, all on their own, but my legs and body need some help and I've been on the wait list for a long time so... let's see what happens this time around!
