I have no doubt you'll have heard of a certain tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff named Winnie the Pooh but did you know that today is officially Winnie the Pooh Day?
Created to commemorate A.A.Milne's birthday, Winnie the Pooh Day is a great excuse to celebrate with your little ones. Pooh and friends first came to life in 1926 when creator A.A.Milne found inspiration from his little boy's cuddly toys. The real Christopher Robin had a collection of stuffed animals that soon took on a life of their own (pictured below) and now, Winnie the Pooh is a must-read addition in many children's home libraries and it's easy to see why.

Since 1966, Disney has had the rights to Winnie and co. and undoubtedly they remain one of the most popular collection of characters the company has ever produced.
So, to celebrate Winnie the Pooh day, why not read a classic tale at bedtime tonight or watch a cartoon together?
